Automation of manufacturing processes
Production process automation is the utilisation of the potential of machines during the processes of the production industry and the implementation of appropriately selected solutions on a given production line.
With Suporte, you will gain state-of-the-art production process automation technology adapted to the current solutions for each production line.
What is manufacturing
automation?
Automation of production processes is a response to increasing consumer expectations and growing competition in the market. It involves the creation of an efficient, safe and cost-effective work environment. Such an effect can be achieved through the implementation of carefully developed algorithms, rules and actions, as well as equipment tailored to it. In practice, the automation of production processes usually boils down to replacing human labor with machine labor.
By eliminating the human factor, we avoid their mistakes and improve efficiency. However, there are many more advantages of automating production processes.
Advantages of production
process automation
Investing in automation guarantees us increased productivity, but modernizing production lines and implementing automation systems brings other benefits as well. Comprehensive automation of industrial production includes not only manufacturing operations, but also those related to packaging, trimming, hot stamping, storage, welding and transportation. The machines ensure the stability and accuracy of processes, proving themselves especially useful when repetitive tasks are required.
The use of robots
in production automation
Thanks to the possibilities of modern technology and robots, the automation of production lines includes an increasing number of tasks. Robotization of production processes is not only the standard use of machines, but above all unusual and dedicated solutions.
Robots are used on production lines, where their tasks include assembly, screwing, batching, welding, riveting, polishing and lifting or moving components to designated locations. Another advantage is the use of automation to operate machines, injection molding machines, riveting machines and in working with CNC type equipment.
Modern robots are also ideal for inspecting product quality and conducting accurate measurements. Mechanical measuring systems acquire data in a point or linear fashion.
Optical measuring systems measure deviations between actual 3D coordinates and CAD data across the surface. As a result, the data contains complete information about the part, represents surface deviations from CAD data, and dedicated software is able to determine data such as shape/position (GD&T) or positions of trims and holes.
One of the key elements of automation is the use of machines in streamlining transportation or palletizing processes. PBR Automation systems allow full optimization of all activities in various industries also without the need to create a new line – our solutions allow integration with already existing machines.
Experience
and competences
It is a common thing that robots are used in welding processes, loading and unloading activities (bin-picking), or assembly activities. Taking into consideration the lack of employees, growing costs of work and energy, it is more and more economical to build robotic stations to perform even the simplest tasks.
Designing dedicated robotic stations for our customers, we are fully aware that they are not cheap solutions, which is why our first step is to calculate the payback period on the basis of provided data. Thanks to such an approach, it often turns out that something which seemed expensive at first may easily pay off in a short time. In our work not only do we use standard anthropomorphic robots but also proprietary solutions using linear axes.
We are extremely experienced and competent when it comes to developing complete automation systems for different manufacturing processes – as a general manufacturer of production lines, a provider of fully autonomous production cells as well as components being a link of a complete production line.
We offer our customers complex solutions including installation and integration of the product at the final customer, support during the tests and starting the process, which lets us shorten the time needed to prepare the automation system to a full functioning, and which makes PBR Automation fully responsible for the project success allowing our customers to avoid problems connected with communication between single deliverers of components for a given process.
